In recent years, politics in the state of Montana have taken a hard right. I researched for the feature documentary Way of Life, which explores Montana’s political battles over privacy and bodily autonomy, fueled by the state’s shift toward Christian Nationalism. The documentary will be published in 2026.

I worked as a reporter, researcher, and fact-checker on the book Raising Them Right (HarperCollins, 2022), which follows the rise of conservative youth leaders Charlie Kirk, Candace Owens, and Cliff Maloney during the first Trump administration.

In 2023, I helped launch Reporting Right, a weekly newsletter that aims to provide local journalists with tools and resources to cover the
anti-democratic forces in the communities they cover. I edited and produced the newsletter in 2023 and 2024.

I fact-checked print and digital stories for Chicago Magazine, including features about Chicago’s best new restaurants, hidden places in the city, and the life expectancy gap between the city’s richest and poorest neighborhoods.
